Fast Efficient Translations offers a service which reflects its name: We produce highly accurate translations from English into German and from German into English. On time. Every time. Translated by a human being. The whole process is about navigating idioms, cultural references, syntax and complicated grammatical structures, while preserving the essence of the original. You're investing in an outcome for your business, be it reaching a wider audience, entering new markets, increasing sales or website traffic, improving understanding and engagement, strengthening brand presence internationally, meeting regulatory or legal requirements, reducing the risk of misunderstandings or disputes or building trust and credibility with local audiences.
All translations into English are proofread in-house by a second pair of eyes to ensure that everything reads naturally, not like a translation at all.
English and German Translations
We carry out translation services from English into German and from German into English. The source can be sent to us via email, ideally as a Word document, Excel file, PowerPoint presentation or formats compatible with CAT tools such as memoQ or Studio.
If needed, I will also stick to specific character limits or make sure certain SEO keywords are included in your text, I will use terminology you provide and follow your style guide, check the layout once your DTP Team has completed its work, update the text to reflect changes or additions you need subsequently and evaluate the quality of any MT output or of another linguist's work carried out for you. If you need other languages in addition, I have a network of trusted colleagues I can outsource this work to.

English and German Proofreading
We offer proofreading services for German and English texts. This can include translations from someone else (option of tracking changes) or material you have written yourself and would like to have checked - such as CVs, job applications, references, websites, marketing material etc.
All proofreading tasks are carried out by a German or an English native-speaker each for her/his own language.
Post-Editing Machine Translation
Some may think that machine translation or AI translation is trying to substitute the human translator but this is not the case. Since so much more text now needs to be translated and technology has made incredible advances, machine translation is helpful for some work if it is then post-edited by a human professional. PEMT is not simply a bit of proofreading but a whole different skill. I am happy to offer this service because I have undergone in-depth training and passed the SDL Post Editing Certification.
